BALTIMORE, July 21, 2026—Kennedy Krieger Institute celebrated the generosity of its most dedicated donors at its annual Society Reception on June 18, 2026 at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House. The event honored four distinguished individuals and community partners whose leadership, advocacy, and service have advanced Kennedy Krieger’s mission.
- AHEPA Lord Baltimore Chapter #364, Mimi Baklor Volunteer of the Year
- Baltimore Ravens, Henry A. Rosenberg, Jr. Community Award
- Rep. Steny Hoyer, Congressman for Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District, Kennedy Krieger Advocate of the Year
- Jared Culotta, Founder and Advocate – The Run for Hannah, Zanvyl Krieger Award
This year’s Mimi Baklor Volunteer of the Year award was presented to the AHEPA Lord Baltimore Chapter #364, recognizing them for their generous volunteer efforts in transforming the inpatient building into a winter celebration.
“This past December, a dedicated group of AHEPA members, once again brought this tradition to life, reminding us all what generosity truly looks like,” said Ron Peterson Chair of the Board of Kennedy Krieger Institute.
The Baltimore Ravens received the Henry A. Rosenberg, Jr. Community Award for their service to Kennedy Krieger Institute and the entire Baltimore community.
“For more than 26 years, the Baltimore Ravens have been an extraordinary partner—steadfast, generous, and deeply engaged in advancing our mission,” said Preston Athey, chair of the Kennedy Krieger Foundation Board. “The Ravens embody what it truly means to be a civic and corporate leader.”
The Kennedy Krieger Advocate of the Year Award was presented to Rep. Steny Hoyer, Congressman for Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District, for his continued advocacy benefitting patients, students, families, and the Institute as a whole.
Jared Culotta, Founder and Advocate of The Run for Hannah, received the Zanvyl Krieger Award, recognizing his lifetime of service and continued commitment to Kennedy Krieger through the Run for Hannah fundraiser.
